Discovery is at the heart of Scouting. Whether it’s a campout, first aid skills development, or a hike on the trail, we believe every adventure helps us uncover a little more about ourselves. We build the foundations for humility and compassion—strengthening character through actions—to prepare youth for a lifetime of leadership.

Troop 222 is a longstanding Scout Troop in Menlo Park. We meet regularly on Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 PM at Menlo Church on Santa Cruz Avenue.
We have approximately 40 Scouts that mostly attend school in Menlo Park. Most of our younger Scouts attend Hillview and La Entrada Middle Schools and our older Scouts mostly Menlo Atherton High School. However, we draw Scouts from a variety of other neighboring schools including Nativity, Menlo School, and DTech.
We welcome both girls and boys to join in our scout-led, active outdoor program which includes hiking, camping, backpacking, cycling, swimming, outdoor skills and youth leadership training and opportunities.
Check out some of our upcoming outings, if you’d like to learn what kinds of activities our scouts are doing.
Want to meet us and learn more? You’re always welcome to attend one of our meetings, and we also have events and outings you can join. There’s no obligation – feel free to come and learn more. We can’t wait to meet you!
Troop documents on topics like how rank advancement works, how to be considered for a leadership position, and outing planning templates.
COMING SOON…
I grew up with six brothers who were scouts,
but girls couldn’t join back then.
So I was thrilled when Scouts BSA started admitting girls.
It’s not a fit for every girl,
but what an opportunity for those for whom it is!
