Here’s a sample of the outings Troop 222 does to give you a sense of the kinds of activities and experiences Troop 222 offers. Each scout family is given access to TroopTrack, where they can view the full troop calendar, RSVP for meetings and activities, and check on their scout’s progress.

Yosemite Camping – Car camping in Yosemite with various day hikes and water play.
Hiking – Exploring local and regional trails, from urban paths to forested backcountry.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Scout Overnight
Trail to First Class Overnight & Camporee at Boulder Creek
Angel Island – Caltrain and ferry travel, overnight camping, hiking, and exploring.
Outdoor Skills – Hands-on instruction and practice in orienteering, navigation, fire building, cooking, first aid, and more.
Scouting for Food – Service project in cooperation with Second Harvest Food Bank
50-Miler – Back country backpacking for 50 milers over six days.

High Adventures & Summer Camp
In addition to day and overnight outdoor activities throughout the year, Troop 222 attends a weeklong Summer camp at scout camps in California, and selects one of the four BSA High Adventure Camps to attend each Summer:
